Cartoon and Anime Relation

It was back in the renaissance period that the term cartoon was another name for fine art. But with the gradual flow of time, its meaning transformed to some witty and funny imaginations which finally ended up being the animated programs. These were considered to be entertaining children at large. But for those who are well acquainted with this field, they know that now a day there is a new term called anime and if you want to know the difference between both you need to see an expert else you will land up in confusion.
As such it does not require differentiating between these two terms. Actually it was a term used as a reference for the animated cartoons (programs) by Japanese. This term was not only for the animated programs of their country but for every one. But, it became an exclusive term for Japanese cartoons only that replaced what was once known as Japanimation.
Most of you may say that there is not much difference between a cartoon and an anime because the both have children as target audience. Speaking technically, however, there is no official differentiation between both terms and that put your thinking to right. But if you watch a single episode from some anime series, you will be able to make the difference. Clear enough, anime is far advanced version of cartoons.
You will see that while cartoons follow a simple plot that is very well defined, in which some good guy is fighting with a bad guy. In contrast to this, the anime series are rarely so simple. They include a huge amount of detailing with quite unpredictable plots. There may be politics, humor, humanity or religion element present in anime. Anime may also erase the line between good and bad unlike traditional cartoons. And in anime series, you will not find the book of jokes open somewhere for cracking the jokes.
Humor in anime is not simple but deep and witty. Also note that the cartoons are generally for the kids. Anime usually is for teens and adults (and at times it is hardly suitable for kids). The characters in the cartoons remain the same from beginning to end like same age. There may be a hero, a villain, and a princess. The storyline remains simple all through. On the other hand, anime offers you to relate to the characters. There is a proper plot for the story, the characters are shown to be born or pre-existing, but with time, they gradually transforms to grown up kids, teens, adults, and even old people. They can also show another generation in the forthcoming series episodes. This leads to developing a connection between the viewers with the anime series. You can see very well in ninjas, how they grow, and become strong ninjas.
However cartoons are still widely appreciated as they have also started making use of advanced technologies and produce many shows that give a look like anime (example X-men) but anime is what is preferred the most. Given the range and population of anime fans, it is clear that anime has made a never lasting impact on the minds of people around the globe.
