Everybody loves DragonBall Z and Ninja based animes. But have you ever wondered what would you get if you mix the two to form one anime? The answer is Naruto. Naruto is one of the longest animes made, but is equally entertaining. The first season of this show had about 220 running episodes, while the second season was finished in the 150th episode. And still, it is loved with equal enthusiasm by the fans. The story and plot of the anime has many jaw dropping twists and tales which will fascinate you like never before and the quality of animation that is done is very good. Sadly, the anime is too long to loose interest mid day.

To begin the review with, let’s first consider the characters present in the series, which are fairly large in number. In the entire story arc, they produce a new hero and villain, put into flashback for their origination and by the end their part finishes, you are already thrilled by them and their part. This is just another reason why anime lovers wish to keep Naruto in their ‘liked’ lists. There are enough characters to make this article never ending, but only characters never made a story; we need a solid story to connect them all.

And fortunately, the story is fantastic. It moves and stresses on the characters, without asking for support from outside side force. The entire story arcs are entertaining and unique, which really spices up the story, apart from the fillers, it’s worth the appreciation. Though there are parts where you feel the story is being dragged on, and sadly, that’s a black patch of the review!

But it’s not just that. There is a bit more disappointment in the story section. Firstly, it is a lot longer than a usual Anime. If you can’t settle on one thing for sometime, many of the story arcs would make you feel that you’re losing it midway. As a matter of fact, the final arc is made up of 20 episodes. Then comes what every Naruto watcher knows and hates about the anime: Fillers. Fillers are needed when any anime series that is not based on some manga, like our Naruto, has to catch up with a manga. The time needed by the anime to ensure that the manga’s story has proceeded to a stage where it has no connection with the anime has to be killed with boring fillers. Honestly, not many people watch these fillers. Approximately, Naruto has got 3 years of fillers, and by the time you’d watch them all, the new season, Shippuden would be ready to view. On that thought, you would probably realize that the makers of Shippuden have made a turn around by making much more interesting fillers for holes that needed to be covered, which were ignored in the Manga.

Naruto is fun to watch, the characters are entertaining and story base is good. If they can tune up the fillers, the anime can become the ultimate thing!
